Phil Gatz

Hey, my name is Phil Gatz and I’m one of the old guys now at First Baptist Church having been attending since 1986 when we moved to the area.  My wife Deb and I have raised four children as part of this church body.  I am a teacher and historian at heart, and these features show themselves in the years of enjoyment working to make disciples at FBC as well as my burgeoning family tree on ancestry.com.  I also enjoy working with some of the best church musicians in the world to try to enable our corporate worship through music every Sunday morning.  Romans 12:1-2 makes these areas of interests my daily guide post, i.e., worship through sacrifice and transformation & change by the renewing of my mind. It has been on this continuing personal faith journey that I have had the privilege to serve as an elder of our church.
